PROFILE

I am Michaël Maximiliaan Franciscus Louter.
I was born in Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands  in 1986.
I am an enthusiastic and ambitious M.Arch. student.
I combine my practice-oriented study with my work at diederendirrix Architects.
I am a visually minded person.
I have a passion for architecture, contemporary art, fine vehicles and industrial&graphic design.
I am always looking for places where these different disciplines come together.
I enjoy exploring the world while riding on my motorcycle.
I see ‘s-Hertogenbosch as my playground.
I like to take snapshots when I walk around the city.
I consider myself as an attentive observant of the everyday.
My heroes are Rowan Atkinson, the A-team and Popeye the Sailor Man.
My favorite quote is “Architecture should seduce people” by I.M. Pei.
I am a big fan of the paper-architecture by Superstudio, Tsunehisa Kimura an Lebbeus Woods.

I think it is remarkable how seldom architects laugh on a picture.
I use humor as a critical tool.

I consider 'sustainability" as the most abused word of the past decade.
I see cycling and sailing as the purest forms of transportation.
I drink my coffee black - without ornaments.
I always start a project with a question.
I am not looking for conclusive answers but for a series of possibilities.
I love it when a plan comes together.
I am not afraid of repeating myself.
